About Adron Systems LLC
Adron Systems LLC is a privately owned software development and consulting company; focused on the needs of research and analytical testing laboratories. Our emphasis is on mass spectrometer data systems and GC/MS file conversion. Our core products are replacement data systems for mass spectrometers and GC/MS file conversion.
Adron Systems acquired the rights to the Vector/2™ and EnviroLink™ product lines from ProLab Resources Inc. in 2002. Adron Systems continues to update, support, and market these product lines.
Adron Systems' Founder and President
Adron Systems was founded by Richard B. Opsal, Ph.D. (Analytical Chemistry, Indiana University, Bloomington). Dr. Opsal has 20+ years of experience with mass spectrometer data systems:
- Vice President at ProLab Resources (Madison, WI) overseeing development of the Vector/2 and EnviroLink data systems. Dr. Opsal was one of the founders of ProLab Resources.
- Director of Software Development at Teknivent Corporation (St. Louis, MO) overseeing early development and design of the Vector/2 and EnviroLink data systems. (Teknivent Corporation was the original developer of the Vector/2 and EnviroLink line of data systems. Dr. Opsal was instrumental in the development of these systems, first as a scientific programmer, and later as Director of Software Development.)
- Post Graduate work at Max-Planck-Institut für Quantenoptik (Garching, Germany) included data system development for CARS (Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Spectroscopy).
- Graduate work at Indiana University included development of time-of-flight mass spectrometers and associated data system. Dr. Opsal earned his graduate degree in 1985.
Adron Systems' Development
The Vx Acquisition System™, our next-generation product, offers simplified installation, plus a redesigned, intuitive user interface. Vx runs on the Microsoft Windows Vista™, Windows XP and Windows 2000 operating systems. Vx targets a variety ion trap and quadrupole instruments. Ion trap support includes Finnigan Magnum, Finnigan ITS40, and Varian Saturn I, II, III.
Adron Systems continues to support and update the Vector/2 and EnviroLink product lines. Adron Systems' first products, Vector/2 on Windows and EnviroLink on Windows allow these OS/2 based systems to run on the Windows 2000 and Windows XP platforms.
Adron Systems' Relationship with ProLab Resources
Adron Systems continues to work closely with our sister company, ProLab Resources; sharing technology and innovation. ProLab Resources continues to sell the Vector/2 and EnviroLink products as a distributor for Adron Systems. ProLab Resources manufactures the acquisition hardware used by these data systems and by the Vx Acquisition System.
